How the figures are made
Enumerators weigh the catch of a sample of boats. The frame survey says how many boats of each kind fish from each site. FAIMS combines the two, month by month and district by district, following FAO sample-based survey methods. The catch assessment page walks through every step with a real example.

Public API plan
This website will read its figures from a small read-only API in FAIMS. It serves approved releases only, so a chart here always matches a published, citable version.
